As the Sr. Regulatory Documentation Specialist, you will be responsible for the evaluation and support of registration requirements for global product registration.
What You’ll Do:
This is a Full-Time Salary Position
As a Sr. Regulatory Documentation Specialist, you will manage product registration globally via various activities including but not limited to requesting, procuring, processing and preparing appropriate documentation, documenting and tracking progress of new registrations and re-registrations in each market. You will ensure that progress is in line with the company’s targets and collect and maintain files necessary to define product registration, re-registration and import processes.
- Maintain a computer database of all filed documentation that ensures fast retrieval of documents
- Identify regulatory requirements for potential new markets and stay current with regulatory requirements for existing markets and assess the impact of such requirements on manufacturing, product development and the business
- Build and foster strong working relationships with departments within and outside GNC including franchisees, government agencies (USDA, South Carolina Department of Agriculture, Department of State, etc.,) and manufacturing partners
- Keep ahead of regulatory changes or proposed changes that may impact product formulation, product manufacture and/or product registration
- Provide franchisees the necessary support to interact with local authorities in order to support or defend against proposed regulations
- Bachelor’s degree in science related field, (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Nutrition, Biology) or related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in regulatory Affairs.
- Ability to understand product registration documentation
- High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
- Strong self-starter with interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
- Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
- Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
- Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
Required Skills:
- Strong organizational skills to organize documentation needs for regulatory requests.
- Facilitate the exchange of documents and technical conversations to support registration
- Create and manage monthly registration reports with global franchisees to ensure reports are transmitted to GNC (i.e. registrations, re-registrations & regulations)
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
Environmental Factors & Working Schedule:
- Hybrid work environment, 2-3 days in-person attendance is required (Pittsburgh, PA) in addition to ability to work remotely.
- Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands or fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear
- Regularly/Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include long periods of computer screen usage, close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to communicate written and verbally in a professional manner with all organizational levels and external contacts
- Adaptability and flexibility to focus quickly on changing situations or revised goals in a fast-paced environment
- Detail oriented, strong analytical skills, team-player
- The noise level in the work environment is usually low/moderate

At GNC, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
