Senior Analyst, Finance

Job Summary

The Sr. Analyst will be responsible for international retail and wholesale sales analysis, financial and operational support, coordinating financial reporting and analysis, assistance with annual budgets, preparation of monthly P&L forecasts to include variance analysis compared to annual budget, and contract commitment research and analysis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform routine analysis on international pricing and margin.

  • Coordinate effective and accurate field reporting, which includes, but is not limited to weekly tracking and key performance indicators, as well as ad hoc reporting.
  • Prepare inventory analysis regarding current levels of international specific inventory, out-of-stock situations, and over-stocked products. Generate inventory reports including specific measures such as: months on hands, shelf life status, and purchasing trends by country.
  • Work closely with international franchise partners to maximize inventory efficiency by receiving and reviewing retail sales and inventory data at the sku level.
  • The analyst will present monthly P&L results during the financial review with the Corporate Finance team and International Leadership team.
  • Analyzing current and past financial data and performance; preparing reports and projections based on this analysis as well as identifying trends and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Research and analyze existing GNC countries' markets and expected growth potential, as part of the annual budget and strategic planning process.
  • Provide robust modeling and reporting to facilitate executive-level decision making.
  • Assist with developing contractual wholesale sales and store commitments upon franchise agreement renewals utilizing market research data and historical analysis.
  • Provide ad-hoc support as needed on project initiatives.

Job Specifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with communicating with a diverse audience
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field

  • Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated to learn new concepts and participate in new projects.
  • Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.
