eCommerce Quality Assurance Analyst

Job Summary

Quality Assurance Analyst II on the Ecommerce team is responsible for working independently to ensure that the Ecommerce Eco-systems and the associated code releases are free of defects and meet functional and performance standards. Duties will include; writing and executing test plans for multiple ecommerce applications including the Salesforce platforms, Epsilon, the mobile app, etc. Analyst will also work directly with both the technical and business teams to answer "how to" and support questions as necessary. Analyst will be expected to develop the QA testing strategy, plan, approach and coordinate the work of other testers while ensuring that all appropriate test conditions are executed. The analyst will update or replace test plans as the software evolves.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify all conditions that can occur in a given application based on system requirements
  • Write complete and effective test plans and execute the plans to prove the functionality of any software changes to Ecommerce ecosystem software changes
  • Estimate test efforts and coordinate the work of combined IT, business, and vendor teams to meet deadlines for test execution
  • Ensure all lab equipment is functioning correctly and is loaded with the required software versions and data before testing is scheduled to begin
  • Manage and maintain all test scripts in the test automation tool—currently Saucelabs
  • Build new test scripts as software is added or replaced
  • Take part in implementation planning and deployment of software changes
  • Identify defects or issues found in testing
    • Be able to replicate these issues and provide information to the developer or vendor to allow them to reproduce and correct the issue
  • Serve as subject matter expert on the functionality of Ecommerce systems and other business software for management and business units
  • Participate in root cause analysis of processes and results, work to eliminate defect patterns
  • Perform data analysis to assist the business in understanding data issues
  • Write minor software modifications as needed
  • Report progress toward deadlines to all necessary parties
  • Ensure the integrity of test material
  • Report defects found in testing diligently, promptly and accurately using standard defect tracking tool
  • Take part in sales audit process to eliminate abnormalities in sales transactions
  • All other duties as assigned

Job Specifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job required
  • 5+ years progressive quality assurance experience preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and Quality Assurance concepts
  • Ability to learn new concepts and technologies quickly as the business grows and technology evolves
  • Knowledge of test automation tools
  • High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
  • Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
