Associate Project Manager

Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing project management of GNC Product Development projects throughout the lifecycle of the product, including pre-development/ development pipeline and tracking of replenishment orders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist all aspects of Product Development projects and task
  • Ensure projects, tasks and timelines are completed on time, and fulfill the goals of the project plan
  • Project Management & Process Management: Products in the pipeline
    • Assist all aspects of Product Development projects and tasks
      • Project initiation
      • Formulation review
      • Quote approval
      • Assist with flavor testing/approval
      • Packaging specifications
      • Label/artwork review
      • Quality control review
      • Shipment/transportation
      • Re-orders
    • Ensure projects, tasks and timelines are completed on time, and fulfill the goals of the project plan
  • Pre Development: Raw Materials and New Product Concepts
    • Support processes and workflow for pre-development functions
  • Communication & Reporting
  • Maintain timely and accurate reports as requested
  • Assist with communication to vendors as needed
  • Work with manager to report project status to all necessary internal customers
    • Responsible to keep all internal partners up to date on project status
    • Keep all relevant parties informed of any interruption/delay to the project's timeline
  • Seek to develop improvements to processes or to create processes where applicable
  • All other duties as assigned

Job Specifications


  • Bachelor's Degree in Science or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job required
  • 2+ years of specific experience in project management/ product development for private label consumer packaged goods
  • High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook and Internet applications
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), and planning skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, and reasoning)
  • Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary
