Job Summary

Responsible for breaking down, cleaning, tooling, setting up, running, and monitoring Tablet compression machines such that all quality and/or customer specifications are achieved in an effective and efficient manner.

The hours for this position are 2pm-10pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare compression equipment for use, to include:

- Following SOP's, clean all compression equipment, tooling and rooms.

- Get next scheduled product from operation specialist.

- Gather all necessary paperwork to manufacture the next scheduled lot.

  • Verify product for use in the manufacture of each production lot.
  • Manufacture tablet cores, to include:

- Follow the batch record instruction to manufacture the tablets

- Document all processing steps in the batch record

- Monitor and graph physical characteristics of tablets per SOP

- Reconcile the final bulk product

  • Overtime as required.
  • Knowledge and compliance of company policies and SOP's.
  • Knowledge and understanding of all cGMP's related to this position.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must complete the operator certification program within 6 months.

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Some mechanical experience helpful.
  • Good math skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is required.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • N/A

Work Environment / Travel / Physical Demands

  • Manufacturing environment
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, and use both hands.
  • The employee must be able to maneuver weights up to 100 pounds on occasion and lift up to 50 pounds and regularly up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in a dusty environment with a wide range of raw materials.
  • Good dexterity.
  • Must wear personal protective equipment as required by batch record and SOP's, which may include: dust masks, gloves, goggles, and hearing protection.
