The International Brand & Product Content Lead/Manager is responsible for developing and adapting educational content and materials for key brands and products. Materials will be used to educate DFOs, franchisees and consumers and to promote products/brands identified as essential to market specific merchandising strategies. The content creation will include compelling descriptions of brands and products, key selling points, selling techniques, clear depiction of differentiation vs. competitors, visual aids, product usage guides and lifestyle tips.
Develop and adapt educational content and materials to promote brands and products for use in international merchandising, marketing and training materials
Ensure content aligns with international brand criteria and product strategies
Passionately present brands and products in compelling ways that will strengthen global brand awareness and product sales
Gain a thorough understanding of brands, categories, products, target markets, competitive landscape & consumers
Translate technical details into feature/benefit statements that are easy to comprehend for our international partners, their associates and target customers
Manage the development of content for use in the international merchandising guidebook, international product guide, briefs for new brands and products and sales materials
Support development of merchandising presentations on branding, assortment building, planograms, visual merchandising, promotions and customer engagement strategies as needed
Collaborate with DFOs to identify content needs and manage the creation of a strategic plan to develop and share content
Function as a liaison to the domestic training, merchandising and science teams to gather current assets on topics of interest
Ability to influence and motivate internal and external cross-functional partners
Creates material that motivates others to buy into the brands and products
Develops strong, effective relationships with colleagues
Functions as a positive, solution-oriented motivating force
5+ years of successful team collaboration experience required
3+ years of dietary supplement industry or relevant experience required
1year international experience preferred
Experience developing nutrition focused content
Experience in content development in a regulated environment
Experience creating and communicating effective selling techniques
Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields: Nutrition, Journalism, Marketing or Related Field
Formal training or certifications in nutrition, health or wellness preferred
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite. Expertise not required, but candidate must be able utilize InDesign, Acrobat, and Illustrator for document layout and design.
Proficient with Powerpoint
Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
Retail sales and general sales experience is a plus
Experience in translating technical information into compelling, consumer-friendly messaging
Strong knowledge of dietary supplements, nutrition, health & wellness
Passion for nutrition, health and wellness
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to travel to international markets and willingness to work extended hours / weekends
Advanced computer skills to prepare reports, presentations, sales sheets and other documentation.
Ability to think strategically/globally about issues and opportunities to properly assess impacts and implications of decisions
Works autonomously and takes the initiative to move the business forward
Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
None required. Certifications in nutrition (Registered Dietitian), personal training or wellness preferred.
