Job Summary

Assists with developing and implementing the organization’s communication strategy. Creates, publishes and distributes a range of materials in order to communicate effectively with both corporate and field associates. Provides internal communication consulting and deliverables to key initiatives, project teams and a variety of executives. Participates in a variety of organization development and culture transformation activities.

  1. Develops and executes internal communications plans that support business objectives and engage employees.
  2. Creates annual internal communication roadmap and cadence for key communication programs.
  3. Gains alignment and support for cohesive internal communication program.
  4. Creates common messaging and formats to accelerate the desired culture.
  5. Makes frequent improvement recommendations for enhancing the relevance and timeliness of key communication.
  6. Consistent with the corporate communications plan; develops, edits and writes content for a variety of internal communications vehicles including email, newsletters, associate forums, intranet, etc. Creates leader talking points for a wide variety of key communications.
  7. Creates core messaging, builds and implements cascade plans and assists executives and teams when they need to communicate with employees.
  8. Creates success metrics and uses fact based methods in providing counsel to improve internal communications and culture.
  9. Continually evaluates and improves communications efforts based on measurement approaches (survey, focus groups, meeting evaluations, etc).
  10. Provides a variety of communication materials for town halls, conferences, field communication, leadership team meetings and other associate events.
  11. Develops and executes communication programs that enhance associate understanding, engagement and active participation in company culture.
  12. Builds creative and innovative communication solutions to accelerate cultural evolution.
  13. Works effectively at all levels of organization; fast and effective in consulting and creating communications for C-level partners.

Handles multiple projects and deals well with ambiguity.

Job Specifications

Leadership Responsibilities

Strong influence on business leaders and executives without direct authority.

Experience

8-10 years related experience in organization communications, development and human resources

Education

BA in organization communications, business, store operations, human resources or comparable.
